policies

Your website should have a privacy policy, and there are many companies who charge you a great deal of money to make one up for you. If you are a large corporation then maybe you should consider doing this, so that all the legal ramifications are taken care of.

However, for the small business owner running a website, or even for a personal website, you can formulate and post your own privacy policy on your website. Just follow the guidelines set out by Google, which you can find under "Google Privacy Policy". They even have a privacy policy generator you can use.

However, if you want to use your own words then use their guidelines as a pattern to follow.

People who practice good Lethbridge SEO know how important it is to have a privacy policy. It is important for your website visitors to feel comfortable while on your site and not worried about how their confidential information will be treated.

This is especially important when you have forms on your website that they will enter in some of their details like email address, if they are signing up for your newsletter or a special report.

You also need to make sure that you keep your word. Whatever you have promised to do or not to do, stick to your privacy policy like glue.

If, for some reason, you want to make alterations to your privacy policy, it is recommended to notify your email list and also post a notice on your website that a change is being made, the details of the change and what date that change will take effect. Then new visitors to your website can also see what's going on.
