Options For Replacing Lost Or Missing Teeth

Media_httpwwwstreetar_htujb

I have discovered that it is so important to do something about your night time tooth grinding (bruxism). I learned the hard way. I lost one of my molars; it had to be extracted because it had split in half, all the way down to the roots. The cause: many years of night grinding. The pressure is just too much.

It's much better to do something about it before it's too late than to lose a tooth forever. The only option left open to me now if I want a tooth there is to get an implant. Man are they ever expensive! I have only a few months to save up the money if I want to get it done, because the longer I wait, the less chance there is of having enough bone there to place the implant.

Some implants are done immediately after extraction. Ouch! The extraction was much more painful (after the freezing wore off) than I ever thought it would be.

So a word of advice: go get a bruxism guard and wear it faithfully every night. Your teeth will thank you!
