Oh my goodness. Go hiking in Iraq, accidentally cross over into Iranian territory, and then spend the next two years as prisoners for being "spies". Not something I would want to do at all. I can't imagine how their families have felt for the past two years. It looks like they are being released now into Swedish officials' custody.
There was also a girl in the hiking expedition, but she was sent home last year on humanitarian grounds (she fell ill.) Man alive, I would fall ill too if I were being held in custody by the Iranians, or any other not-so-friendly country for that matter.
Well I'm sure there will be a very happy reunion with their families when they get home. As a mother, I can just almost imagine the heartache of the capture and sentencing, and then the relief of the release. I hope I never have to experience it.
