The chilly autumn morning, the crunchy dry leaves underfoot and the sight of faceless orange pumpkins gazing out from large bins in the store can only mean one thing. Old man winter's on the way. But I want fall to last, if there's a way. This has to be my favorite time of year. Thanksgiving, warm days and cool nights, dust off the crockpot and polish the bread pans. I'll enjoy it while I can. It may not last as long as I want it to last, but I will relish every day, until the snow flies. Take a piece of venison and make an apple cider stew. Here's the recipe for ya: Apple Cider Stew
Get a good book, dish up a yummy meal out of the crockpot and curl up by the fire. Now that's the good life...
